児童養護施設保育士に求められるソーシャルワーク機能 : 日常生活支援を通して Social Work Functions Required of Child Care Workers in Children's Institutions : Approach to Issues Concerning the Care of Children 小川, 恭子 OGAWA, Kyouko The author reported in an article titled "Approach to the Framework of Child Care in Children's Institutions: From the Viewpoint of Residential Work"(Seirei Social Welfare Research, Vol.2, 2009) that the child care functions of a children's institution could be positioned as residential work, and that interactions with children were based mainly on care work but also involved practices of social work and administration. From among the child care functions of children's institutions, everyday living support for children provided mainly by childcare professionals at this type of institution was focused on in this study to identify social work functions in such support with the child care framework as a foundation. Amid calls for greater recognition of the importance of child care social work, the study was intended to clarify social work functions required of child care professionals at children's institutions.
