| 内容記述 | In Japan, many children are confused about the big gap in their elementary school life just after the kindergarten life. There are many differences of childrenʼs environment such as their playing, time schedule and relationships among friends between kindergartens and elementary schools. Especially the change on physical activity is remarkable. However, few studies have investigated the difference in physical activity between kindergarten and elementary school. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to verify the differences in physical activities between kindergarten and elementary school students using step counts and energy consumption as indices of physical activity. As a result of the survey, both step counts and energy consumption showed higher values in kindergarten children. Hence, it is conceivable that the amount of physical activity has decreased markedly after entering elementary school. In conclusions, it is suggested that it is necessary to construct a model considering physical activity amount for smooth transitions between kindergartens and elemantary schools. |
