I previously wrote about the childcare worker\nKame Nishikawa, who played a central role in managing the kindergarten. (Refer to Fuji\nWomenʼs University Journal No. 49, Section II, pp. 195-201)\nGiven the social conditions in the mid-Meiji era and the educational policies of\nHokkaido, it was significant that the public kindergarten existed for those ten years of\ndifficult times. This year, I was given information on Hoiku Jikkenroku (Childcare\nRecords), written by Kame Nishikawa. The article was covered in the January 1898 issue of the Tokyo Meikeikai Journal (Issue No. 180). In this thesis, I elucidate an unknown feat that she accomplished, based on her actual record.
