内容記述 | This article deals with some of the problems related to introduction into the field of Japanese early childhood education. Child care, education programs and methods, adapted from other countries and societies, are presented and explained. This article adds to the research originally carried out in 2012, and more specifically elaborates on problems of introduction and development of early childcare educational methods which are involved in professional childcare/teacher training. On-site teaching practicum will be examined. Elements for early childhood educators in Japan are examined from three points of view: 1) the high quality preschool educators of the Edo and Meiji eras and their adaptation of Western European educational ideas into Japanese education; 2) using historically well-known Western European concepts of educational philosophy incorporated into experimental curriculum for current childcare worker/teacher in-service training; and 3) cross-cultural preschool teacher awareness of the global economic influences such as OECD and references to NAEYC and AMS used in the US accreditation systems. | |||||
